The average repair will take 5-10 working days (dependent upon extent of damage).

 

Fast Track System

For smaller repairs, for example new bumpers or small localised repairs, this will take 1-3 working days.

             
    Accident Repair Process        
               
    Here at Shires Accident Repair Centre we understand how stressful and frustrating accidents can be, so we ensure your vehicle is returned to you without delay. The assessment will be carried out by a fully qualified ATA accredited vehicle damage assessor.

  Customer Services  
     
.     Vehicle comes on site either collected or brought in by policy holder / customer.
.     Damage will be assessed usually within an hour. Full detailed assessment and images sent to Insurance
       Company for an engineer to authorise. On average takes 2-3 days depending on insurance company.
.     Once authority received parts can then be ordered. Parts take on average 2-3 days. If parts go on back order the
       policy holder will be made aware.
.     Vehicle will then be stripped in preparation for the new parts.
.     Once parts arrive the vehicle will then go into the panel shop.
.     Then into the paint shop to be prepped then painted.
.     Once painted the vehicle will go into re-fit.
.     4 Wheel Alignment if required.
.     The vehicle will have any freshly painted panels polished.
.     Wash / Vac / Glass Cleaned.
.     Vehicle will then go through a Quality Control Check.
.     Policy holder / customer contacted to advise repairs are now complete and ready for collection / delivery.
 
If the repair is a big repair and the vehicle is likely to be with us for a length of time one member of staff will be designated to look after the customer to provide regular updates and a continuity of communication.
